Salem One Strengthens with Acquisition and Investments
New Client Relationships Drive Capacity and Strategic Additions
Salem One Inc., one of the largest print-based corporate communication companies in the Southeast, announced it has made multiple recent investments in support of sizable client relationship growth that include the acquisition of Postmark Inc., a full-service direct marketing company based in Winston-Salem, NC; a partnership with FujiFilm through the installation of their Superia ZD processless plate technology; and a continuing partnership with Komori America through the addition of another 6 color 40” GL640 press. Salem One provides a broad scope of corporate brand communication solutions in the areas of Direct Marketing, Packaging, Technology, Print and Logistic solutions.
Salem One and Postmark have been trusted business partners for years, with similar innovative, client-focused corporate cultures that make the combination a natural fit. “We are two strong, successful companies, that together harness the consumer response power of print and packaging application technology, data and analytic knowledge sets and national level supply chain logistic and delivery expertise,” said Phil Kelley, Jr., President and CEO of Salem One. “We are pleased to strengthen our regional commitment with the addition of the dominant local Postmark brand as we continue to grow our presence nationally in the broad segments of Direct Marketing, Packaging, Print and Logistic solutions for brand dominant, consumer-focused organizations.”
This acquisition, along with positive organic growth, expands Salem One’s position as the largest independently owned print-based corporate communication company headquartered in North and South Carolina.
“Postmark will operate as a division of Salem One as we ensure seamless integration for clients,” said Postmark President Jon Bowman. “We do not anticipate any changes in personnel, and know our clients will quickly enjoy the tremendous major advantages we will bring to their direct marketing needs through this corporate combination.”
Dick Vann, who founded Postmark 27 years ago, said, “I am thrilled to see the decades of attention to meeting client needs and strong reputation for innovation, that has been associated with Postmark from our founding, to be integrated into such a strong regional, national, and client-focused organization such as Salem One. I am also thrilled for the hard-working people of Postmark, whose skill sets have been so important to helping clients prosper, and that remain so critical to Salem One’s ongoing success.”
Salem One has also committed to major capital investment initiatives with FujiFilm and Komori America Corporation to support their growing regional and national client portfolio. These investments come as Salem One continues to aggressively climb the rankings of the top corporate communication companies in North America according to annual Printing Impressions 400 rankings.
Salem One is pleased to partner with FujiFilm through the installation of their Superia ZD processless plate technology. This partnership enhances an already strong corporate commitment to sustainability by eliminating all chemicals in the plate making process. This latest plate technology also provides tremendous efficiency in press make ready speed, enhanced print quality and a more durable plate
Salem One is also excited to continue their partnership with Komori America Corporation, with the installation of an additional 6 Color, 40” GL640 press with packaging enhancement accessories. Komori America and Salem One have a decade- long relationship that has resulted in corporate growth of more than 300%. Salem One’s now complete Komori Offset footprint, combined with their Flexographic and Digital Footprints, creates one of the most diverse and flexible speed-to-market print capability realities in the industry (all with G7 level three master certification).
Salem One, Inc. has been recognized nationally by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America and listed in the Fast 50 by the Triad Business Journal multiple times in the last decade. In addition, Salem One is consistently one of the most recognized recipients of quality awards from the Printing Industry of the Carolinas, and is an acknowledged Innovation Partner with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).
