Salem One Presents “Informed Delivery” Insights to Regional Postal Customer Council Groups

Informed Delivery is a new service offered by USPS that provides consumers with daily notifications and images of the mail they will receive that day. The service also integrates package delivery notifications allowing consumers to get a full view of what their USPS carrier will be delivering to their residence on a daily basis.

Mailers have the ability to enhance the consumer Informed Delivery experience by supplementing the image of the mail piece with additional color images and links to digital content. Salem One has participated in campaign beta testing in partnership with USPS implementing live campaigns for several clients. “Our clients can now benefit from enhancing the already-strong and tangible direct mail campaign with an immediate call to action and integration with their digital marketing efforts”, said Brooks.

Consumer reaction to the new service has been extremely positive. The USPS reports that over 3.4 million subscribers have already signed up for Informed Delivery in the short period since the launch. Email open rates are running above 70% and 9 out of 10 subscribers would recommend the service.
